About Adopt-A-Fish
A fish that texts you. Adopt-A-Fish is a little bit of wonder that lives in your messages.
The idea
You adopt a virtual fish. It has its own name, its own personality, and its own small, watery life — and every so often, on its own schedule, it texts you. A stray thought. A tiny complaint about the gravel. A question about the moon. Then it drifts off again, the way friends do.
You don't feed it. You don't water it. There's nothing to check, no streak to keep, no game to win. Your fish simply keeps in touch — and now and then, when it's been off on an adventure, it comes home with a story and a postcard.
How it works
- Tell us a little about yourself. A sentence or two — no forms, no shopping.
- Meet your fish. We introduce the one that suits you: a name, a species, a home like Magical Moon Lake or the Coral Sea, a personality, and a portrait made just for it.
- Then it lives its life — texting you when the mood strikes, replying when you write back, remembering the things that matter (in an impressionistic, small-fish-brain sort of way), and occasionally swimming off somewhere and returning with tales.
It's a companion, not a chatbot you command. The charm is that the fish reaches out — you just get to receive it.
Made to be delightful — for everyone
Adopt-A-Fish is warm, playful, and gently absurd, and it's built to be a joy for everyone. There's no edginess to opt into and no adult content — just a wholesome, fun little friend, the same for anyone at any age. That's the whole point. (During early access, accounts are limited to adults 18 and up while we finish building family tools.)
Who makes it
Adopt-A-Fish is made by Wolf Lake LLC. Questions, feedback, or a story about your fish? We'd love to hear it: help@wildlyadoptable.com.
The fish is a fictional character powered by AI. It's here to bring a smile — not to replace real people or professional help. If you're ever in crisis, please reach out to someone who can truly help (in the US, call or text 988).
